"I feel immense joy and wonder every day at work, where I have the honour and privilege of caring for people. It's not just about treating their ailments but also about improving their overall health and well-being, which makes practicing medicine so fulfilling. By getting to know each individual and offering them the support they need, I can significantly impact their lives. I gain new insights not only about them but also about myself. I feel fortunate to be part of such an extraordinary experience."
As a physician, I have experienced the practice of medicine from many vantage points. I have been in private practice in Brampton and Toronto, and I am a physician with hospital privileges at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. My experience in obstetric and pediatric care and caring for those with complex medical conditions has solidified my belief that "prevention is better than cure."

I'm excited about the prospects of utilizing advanced technologies and AI to improve the quality of virtual and clinical care. I believe that these new capabilities will play a vital role in enhancing communication and coordination of care among patients, providers, and families, thus helping to break down information silos and improving collaboration. By leveraging the strengths of these technologies, we can enhance our abilities to improve the quality of care and deliver better health outcomes for patients while maintaining the human qualities of empathy and ethical judgment.
Let's make healthcare not just about treating ailments but creating a vibrant, holistic picture of wellbeing!

"I enjoy the ongoing relationships with our patients, whose health journeys, wisdom, and questions have provided the foundation for my ongoing learning. More recently, I pursued continuing education to provide dermatologic and musculoskeletal procedures that allow me to practice my greatest passion in nursing: providing direct interventions to help people feel better."
Growing up in Parry Sound, it never occurred to me that I would become a nurse. After graduating with a BSc with a major in Physiology from McGill University, I was fascinated with learning how body systems work down to the cellar level. I wanted to better understand how this all came together at the human level. Nursing presented itself as a career where I could apply and further this knowledge.
After completing my BSc. in Nursing at the University of Toronto, I developed my hands-on skills as an RN in a busy Toronto emergency department. From there, I took the leap to out-post nursing in remote First Nations communities. After my first season, to build my capacity to meet the demands of this all-purpose role, I had the opportunity to complete the Northern Clinical Program at First Nations University.
After a couple of years, I started dividing my time between the North and my studies in the Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program at Laurentian University to work in an expanded nursing scope and return to Toronto to start a family. Upon completion, I worked at Sherbourne Health Centre, providing care to homeless and marginalized populations. In 2010, I joined Serefin, formerly Healthcare365.
Our commitment to innovation in healthcare delivery stems from the rich origins of Healthcare365.

"I am drawn to nursing because it allows me to engage with people from diverse backgrounds, learning from their stories and experiences. These interactions shape my worldview, enriching my understanding of life's meaning and what truly matters. Through listening to patients' histories and experiences, I cultivate an appreciation for the intricacies of life and the value of human connection. Nursing enables me to not only provide care but also to learn and grow personally, continuously inspired by the resilience and wisdom of those I encounter."
Born and raised in Montreal, my childhood curiosity led me to harbour a peculiar fascination with hospitals, always eager to explore their countless rooms. This early intrigue blossomed into a passion for healthcare as I found joy in volunteering in hospital settings, discovering my innate desire to care for others at the bedside. Pursuing this calling, I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McGill University, immersing myself in medicine and honing my compassion and patient teaching skills. Transitioning to the fast-paced environment of an emergency room in Montreal, I further developed my critical thinking abilities amidst the chaos of urgent care.
Seeking new experiences, I ventured to Toronto, immersing myself in Ontario's healthcare landscape while continuing to work in emergency medicine. However, my focus gradually shifted towards primary prevention, prompting my transition to Serefin, where I embraced the mindset of primary care and relished the opportunity for continuity of care. Unlike my previous role in the ER, I now find fulfillment in forming lasting connections with patients and witnessing their healthcare journeys beyond singular visits.
Driven by a steadfast commitment to enhancing patient care, I am expanding my role by pursuing courses to become an RN prescriber, aiming to meet evolving client needs and contribute further to the healthcare community.

From a young age, I always felt drawn to healthcare. I didn’t realize until I completed a certificate in health sciences that I wanted to define my path as a nurse. I then finished my Practical Nursing Diploma at Durham College in Oshawa.
My journey in nursing began in the compassionate domain of long-term care. In Uxbridge, I devoted myself to individuals facing many challenges, extending my care beyond age considerations. Even during the tumultuous times of the pandemic, I worked part-time in long-term care and COVID-19 vaccination clinics while maintaining my role at the clinic — an embodiment of my unwavering dedication to both people and the nursing profession.
This diverse experience laid the foundation for my transition into the dynamic landscape of family medicine. My deep-seated commitment is not just a career; it’s a calling — a journey of excellence shared by a life dedicated to health and healing. It’s shaped by a steadfast commitment to individuals at every stage of life, compassionate guidance in the face of health uncertainties, and my belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to live their healthiest life.
Driven by my conviction that everyone deserves to live their healthiest life - physically and mentally, I’ve pursued specialized nursing courses to broaden my expertise. In just a few months, I’ll proudly hold certifications as a mental health nurse and a registered diabetes educator. This journey has enriched my professional capabilities and allowed me to provide vital counselling on mental health and diabetes education in my current role.
